Syed Sultan Beevi Amma Sahiba is popularly known by the Nagore people as West Nagore Seematti. Amma Sahiba is the lovable wife of Yusuf DhaDha Sahib Nagoori.
She is also known as the youngest daughter of West Nagore Kwaja Makhdoom. Her father, Kwaja Makhdoom, came to West Nagore from an Arabic country for the shipping trade. From birth, Syed Sultan Beevi Amma Sahiba lived a life of affluence; hardships and poverty were unknown to her.
However, she and her husband chose a different path. Wealth and prosperity were hated and set aside in favor of the worship of Allah. Devoted completely to the Lord, she followed the same spiritual path as her husband, leading a simple life with him at Mudhubak in the Nagore Dargah Shareef.
It is through them that the Lord brought the heirs of Yusuf DhaDha Sahib to this earth. Sultan Beevi Amma Sahiba gave birth to eight children: six boys and two girls. The Sahibs, who still live in Nagore Dargah Shareef today, are the descendants of the Saint, Nagore Aandavar. This lineage is destined to continue until the Day of Judgment. Today, the women of Nagore continue to draw vision and inspiration from the life and legacy of Sultan Beevi Amma.
